The Appeal of Mrs Toogood

Amateur adventures in orcharding

The Journey Begins

I’ve always wanted to write a blog but I’ve never really had anything to say. The only things I’m interested in are the sort of things that don’t matter and no-one cares about and there’s surprisingly little interest in blogs about that sort of stuff. I know. I was shocked too.

Then it occurred to me that there might be more people out there just like me, spending their evenings contemplating things that only matter to them. There might not be but it’s a nice idea, to me at least.

If you’re one of those people, this might be the blog for you. It might not be, but you can always stop reading. No hard feelings.

Here goes then, my foray into the blogosphere, poorly recounting tales of me meandering around Lincolnshire looking for apples that no-one wants any more and probably never existed in the first place.

It’s an enticing prospect I know. Let’s not waste any more time…

About Me

I’ve been writing about orchards and Lincolnshire heritage apples for over five years and still don’t know my arse from my elbow. This blog is supposed to be an almost humorous record of my attempts to raise apple trees in a field just outside Louth. Mrs Toogood is just one of the lost varieties I probably won’t find.
